Units Requirement:
Applicants must have completed at least three college semesters, nine units in Psychology and/or Counseling course work, and be currently enrolled and in good standing with Sonoma State University.

Fees
Applicants must pay the Psi Chi National Office a lifetime membership fee of $55. *Please submit your $55 check or money order (made payable to SSU Psi Chi) with your completed application.

Transcripts
Applicants must provide psychology and/or counseling grades in the form of transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable). Please print off from your SSU people soft account. Make sure that you use the landscaping option to print your results. If you have questions regarding transcripts and printing them off correctly please contact Aubrie Adams at adamsa@sonoma.edu

 

Grade Point Average:
Undergraduates must have and maintain at least a "B" (3.0) overall grade point average and a 3.0 GPA in all psychology and/or counseling course work.

Graduate students must have and maintain at least a 3.30 overall grade point average and a 3.30 GPA in all psychology and/or counseling course work.

If you meet all of the requirements, please fill out the following forms and place the completed forms stapled together in the Psi Chi box in the psychology department.

The required forms:

1) Instructional Checklist

2) Membership Application

3) Membership Survey

4) Registration Card Form

Please print out these forms and fill them out completely and include one $55.00 check addressed to psi chi ($35.00 for national and $20.00 to the SSU psi chi chapter).

IMPORTANT: Also make sure you include your transcripts. See the above information for transcript help.
