What is Lip Jam?
Every year the Delta Rho chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta holds an annual fundraising event titled Lip Jam in order to raise money for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. Our foundation donates a significant amount of money to diabetes research, education and camperships. Lip Jam is an entertaining event where members of clubs and organizations on the Sonoma State campus participate in a lip sync contest. The event also consists of lip sync performances, humorous MCs, raffle prizes, and an awards ceremony. However, the central focus of the event is to increase awareness about diabetes through an informative video, personal testimonies and presentations by representatives from various diabetes organizations throughout California.

Want to be in an act?
Do you want to show-off your lip sync talent? Now is your chance. Any SSU student is able to perform in a Lip Jam act. You can perform solo, or with a group of individuals. The process is very simple. You must read and abide by the rules, complete an entry form and then turn in your entry form and check made payable to Alpha Gamma Delta to the Alpha Gamma Delta box. All performers will receive free admittance to the show.

Unfortunately we are no longer acceptiing entry forms for Lip Jam 2008: Rock Out to the 90's. We hape that you will still come out and support our organization by attending the show, and hopefully we will see you on stage next year!

If you want to attend the show, purchase your tickets quickly. The show sells out extremely fast. Tickets will be available beginning May 5th in the Sonoma State University Stevenson quad, or at the Student Union.

The Delta Rho chapter appreciates any monetary and/or raffle donation. You can make a donation by mailing a raffle prize and/or a check made payable to Alpha Gamma Delta by May 15th to:

All of the proceeds will be donated to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation has been raising money for over 30 years and it’s purpose is two-fold: to generate financial resources to fund the educational, philanthropic and leadership purposes of Alpha Gamma Delta. The Foundation supports these purposes, for both members and nonmembers, through financial grants for scholarships, leadership training, emergency financial assistance, wellness issues and programs that enhance high personal standards of ethics and values. However, our official philanthropy is diabetes and thus a significant amount of money is donated to diabetes research and education and to programs that support those with diabetes. The money given by the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation to diabetes related organizations can be broken down into three categories. Here are the percentages of how the money is distributed: research 16%, education 12%, and camperships 72%.
