March 18, 2001 Rohnert Park, CA - Coming off a close and emotional win over Cal the day before, there was the potential for a letdown by the Cossacks on Sunday. No such letdown occured as Sonoma State completely dominated the visiting Broncos in a game between divisional rivals.
In addition to the notable contributions made by Will Burson (3g, 2a) Don Collins (3g), Matt Dennig (3g), Brian Cummings (2g,1a), Jerrod Waller (3a), and Nate Bohard (2g), goaltender Jamie Refvem made 10 saves raising his save percentage to .657 on the year.
The Cossack depart Thursday for a three game tournament in Michigan. SSU will face Michigan, Texas, and Colorado State on three consecutive days in what will be the biggest test of the year for the young SSU squad.
